   EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR’S NOTE
he countdown to MMOPA Nashville LIVE is on! In just a few short weeks, MMOPA will host its first in-person convention since 2019. So if you haven’t registered yet, I have to ask: why not?? It’s going to be a can’t-miss
three days because...
• Great speakers on a range of topics from operational concerns, piloting, aeronautical decision making, weather, landing technique, and maintenance concerns;
• Tammie Jo Shults, Malibu owner, MMOPA Lifetime Member, and retired Southwest captain who was in the left seat when an uncontained engine failure disabled her B737. She’s our keynote Thursday morning;
• Eaglemania concert! The world’s greatest Eagles tribute band will be at our Friday Night Dinner & Auction. I’d invite you to be one of the first 50 to get premium seating, but that was snapped up in the first two days of registration. But seriously, there won’t be a bad seat in the house!
• Thursday night party at the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum;
• Exhibits! The companies who support you and the PA46 airframe will be there to share what’s new and answer your questions face-to-face;
• Nashville! We are staying at the JW Marriott a few steps from the famed Lower Broadway and lots of dining, entertainment & shopping;
• On-demand playback of all sessions after the convention available through your account on MMOPA.com;
• All your MMOPA friends will be there! Connect with old acquaintances and meet new ones;
Room availability is getting tighter each day, so register ASAP by going to: MMOPA.com/convention. We’ve streamlined the registration process to make it super-easy and efficient—no separate website to log into.
To book your room, follow the JW Marriott link available on MMOPA.com/ convention or call or call +1 615-291-8600 and mention “Malibu M-Class Owners & Pilots Association.”
Can’t Be There In-Person?
For the first time ever, we will be live-streaming the convention as well as recording. You can purchase access by going to: MMOPA.com/convention.

Master Aviator Program Deadline: The deadline for Master Aviator Program applications is approaching. The window closes for 2021 applicants on Aug. 15. This program gives you more than bragging rights and a cool piece of bling for your lapel (although that’s pretty neat), it contains the critical building blocks to make you a safer, more proficient, and skilled PA46 pilot.
