The party is on – Rwill you be there?
ecently, MMOPA asked members in a brief survey their thoughts on whether they will attend
upcoming live events. The results were encouraging! More than 80 members took time to respond to the 5-question survey, which provided a good gut-check of how to proceed with the year.
When asked if you will attend this year’s
convention & fly-in, more than half – 58% – said
you’ll most likely be there in person, with 12% indicat-
ing they were still unsure. For those who said they would not attend, most said schedule conflict was the primary reason. Less than 6% cited COVID concerns would keep them away. Clearly, international travel is still problematic, and we all collectively hope restrictions will be lifted in the coming months to allow our international members and sponsors to attend.
This survey confirmed what we already suspected: with vaccinations well underway and more people willing to travel, we are collectively looking forward to getting out and getting together with our MMOPA family! And this I can promise: it will be one of the best conventions yet. We understand the value of the time and resources you commit to being at the event, and we are not going to waste a minute of it. Thus, we are slimming down the event to focus on 2.5 days of great learning content. All timeslots will feature a top-notch speakers on safety, operations, maintenance, tax strategies and more.
