VP Demand Creation Acquires American Fly Fishing Magazine

November 8, 2021By VP Demand Creation Services

VP Demand Creation Services (a dba of Village Press, Inc.) of Traverse City, MI, has announced the acquisition of its 10th magazine, American Fly Fishing, according to company CEO, Dave Moore.

“Our bread and butter is ‘enthusiast publishing.’ Collectively, our society attaches the most value to the activities we choose in our free time. Passionate runners read Runner’s World. Passionate snow skiers read Powder or Ski Magazine. Likewise, there are magazines for car enthusiasts, arts and crafts, wine and cigar aficionados. And passionate anglers read American Fly Fishing,” states Moore.  “Our Publishing Director, Jake Smith, has written for AFF. We have deep expertise in this hobby.”

“The magazine is well-established, and the current publisher has done a wonderful job but wishes to retire from the industry and have a trusted, experienced publisher carry on the magazine for the subscribers,” says Smith. “We are a perfect fit for his intended outcome; he is a single-title publisher with many part-time subcontractors, and our on-staff team will handle the execution.

AFF will join our ‘Dog and Sporting’ group of magazines that include The Pointing Dog JournalThe Retriever Journal, and Just Labs magazines,” Smith continues. “Fly fishing blends well with these titles as, like living with a bird dog or retriever, it’s a passion that people base a lot of their lives around. Many of our writers in PDJRJ, and JL also have a history of writing for AFF.”

Anyone interested in getting a copy of the January/February Issue, or giving the magazine as a Christmas gift, can call 844-251-2652 or visit www.AmericanFlyFishing.com.
