Leadership Opportunities at WCMS – Committee and Leadership Positions Open!
WCMS Delegate or Alternate to the House of Delegates
The House of Delegates (HOD) is the official policy-making body of the Michi- gan State Medical Society. Resolutions are the vehicles used to debate and determine the policies, priorities, and direction of MSMS. Each year, physician members from across the state submit resolutions for review and consideration. County medical societies are allocated a set number of delegates and alternate voting slots determined by annual membership numbers. Delegates are invited, but not required, to submit resolutions.
WCMS Executive Council
The Executive Council is the voting body that supervises the function and activities of WCMS. Council members determine annual events, legislative priorities, and community outreach directives. The Executive Council meets the first Thursday of each month and breaks June-August and December.
WCMS Committees
Learn more about the WCMS Committees by following the below links. Each committee meets approximately three times annually and members are simply asked to share a passion for medicine and interest in learning leadership skills.
