 Contract Settlements

     Boyne City Police Officers
New four-year agreement expires April 30, 2022. Wages:
3% effective May 1, 2018 plus lump sum payment of $300. 2.5% effective May 1, 2019.
2.5% effective May 1, 2020.
2.5% effective May 1, 2021.
Fringe Benefits: Employees will receive 1-1/2 paid hours for each hour worked on scheduled Holidays.
Bargaining team: Dan Mercer aided by POLC Rep. John Stidham.
City of Clio DPS
New four-year agreement expires June 30, 2021. Wages:
1% effective July 1, 2017 plus equity adjustment. 1% effective July 1, 2018.
1% effective July 1, 2019.
1% effective July 1, 2020.
* Establish new wage scale with equity adjustments increase. Starting pay will increase by $1.80 per hour and increase each level by same.
manning and Safety: Allow 24 months to obtain S-3 water license. Fringe Benefits: Sick leave rolled into PTO. Employees may use PTO as ac-
cumulated time. Previously, Employees had to wait one year after time was
accumulated to use that time off.
Health Care: Eliminated dependent health care after age 22. Bargaining team: Anthony Cole aided by POLC Rep. Hal Telling.
Clio City Police Officers
New five-year agreement expires June 30, 2022. Wages:
1% effective July 1, 2017.
1% effective July 1, 2018.
1% effective July 1, 2019.
1% effective July 1, 2020.
Wage reopener effective July 1, 2021.
* No wage scale. One Officer topped out. Other Employees would never
reach pay level of top Officer. All Officers except for most senior Officer,
will receive .75 cents per hour yearly increase to reach top level.
Fringe Benefits: Retired Officers are paid their former hourly wage for their
court time, instead of a witness fee, due to being subpoenaed to testify in
former cases.
Health Care: Eliminated dependent health care after age 22. Bargaining team: Mike Grohoski aided by POLC Rep. Hal Telling.
Dickinson County Command Officers
New four-year agreement expires Dec. 31, 2021. Wages:
2% effective Jan. 1, 2018. 2% effective Jan. 1, 2019. 2% effective Jan. 1, 2020. 2% effective Jan. 1, 2021.
Fringe Benefits: Sick leave can be used to take care of Employees’ siblings. Health Care: The opt out for health care was $150 per month paid to De-
ferred Compensation plan. Now Employees who opt
out will be paid $300 per month. Retirement: No retiree health care. Employees
will receive $500 per month stipend upon retire-
ment. New hires will receive MERS Defined Contribution plan with a 10% Employer contribution and 5% Employee contribution.

Dickinson County Corrections Officers
New four-year agreement expires Dec. 31, 2021. Wages:
2% effective Jan. 1, 2018. 2% effective Jan. 1, 2019. 2% effective Jan. 1, 2020. 2% effective Jan. 1, 2021.
Fringe Benefits: Uniform allowance increased by $60 a year. Increase in Vacation time. Formerly Employees had to work 15 years to earn 20 days of Vacation. Now Employees must work 12 years to receive 20 days of Vaca- tion. Sick leave to include caring for Employees’ siblings.
Health Care: The opt out for health care was $150 per month to Deferred Compensation. Now Employees who opt out will be paid $300 per month. Retirement: No retiree health care. Employees will receive $500 per month

* Airport Employees daily stipend to increase from $6 to $8 per day.
Fringe Benefits: Increase in Vacation time. Formerly Employees had to work 15 years to earn 20 days of Vacation. Now Employees must work 12 years to receive 20 days of Vacation.
Health Care: The opt out for health care was $150 per month paid to Deferred Compensation plan. Now Employees who opt out will be paid $300 per month.
Retirement: Retirees had no health care. Now Employees will receive $500 per month stipend upon retirement. New hires will receive MERS Defined Contribution plan with a 10% Employer contribution and 5% Employee contribution.
