Esperanza Razo was a California Highway Patrol Explorer.
CALiFORNiA
Esperanza Razo of Sacramento, CA, is a Christian Brothers High School graduate. She was on the Varsity Water Polo, Swim and Wrestling teams, receiving All-City and All-League Water Polo ath- letic awards and numerous coaches’ awards in all three sports for leadership and being a role model. As a Student Ambassador, she participated in choir and a ride along program with California High- way Patrol (CHP). She volunteered with USA Boxing (where she’s an of cial), CHP Explorers and CHP’s for Kids, Napa Sheriff’s Activities League and San Jose Police Activities League and helps care for her autistic younger brother. She is using her $2,000 LEEP grant to study Psychology with a minor in Criminology at Hartwick College, where she will be on the water polo and swim teams. Her career goal is to become a California Highway Patrol Of cer.

Ryan mcintyre of Anderson, IN, gradu-
ated Anderson High School with a 3.5 GPA.
The former Chester eld Fire Department
Cadet is now a Paid-On Call EMT with the
department, where his older brother is a
 re ghter. He has an EMT license, Hazmat
Operations and Awareness certification
and completed a Fire and Rescue class,
receiving a Fire/Rescue Mental Attitude Award. He was on the high school football, wrestling, bowling and archery teams and was the  rst student to make State in two different sports in the same year. The marching band member ran a lawn mowing service and earned top placements in bowling and National Muzzle Loading Ri e As- sociation. He is using his LEEP grant to pursue an associate degree in Homeland Security and Public Safety at Ivy Tech and will transfer to get a bachelor’s in both at Vincennes University.

Investigation and a Statesman Award. The

Captain of Law Enforcement Crime Scene
Investigation class. He participated in Mis-
souri State Highway Patrol Student Alliance Program, was National Technical Honor Society President, Future Business Leaders of America Vice President of Membership and President of Human Resources, taking top placements in Districts, State and Nationals and the All-Star Award twice. The Brass Choir/Pride Marching Band, DECA member and Eagle Scout earned an Archery Excellent Sports- manship Award. He will major in Emergency Disaster Management and minor in Criminal Justice at Northwest Missouri State Univer- sity to become a State Highway Patrol Of cer.

Antronette Gholston of Lawton, OK,
graduated Eisenhower Senior High School
with a 3.71 GPA. She was on the high
school Varsity Volleyball team, Girls Bas-
ketball team, Debate Team, African Amer-
ican Club and Zone-In Volleyball Academy.
A Leadership Team member and National
Honor Society member, she participated in AP Weekend Study Ses- sions. A Team Coordinator for Teens Working for Younger Youth, she was a mentor to elementary students. She was an Intern Committee member, interning with Comanche County District Court. She is using her LEEP grant to pursue a Criminal Justice bachelor’s degree at Oklahoma Wesleyan University.
