Hospitalizations have increased during this surge, but the rate of increase in hospitalizations is significantly lower than was seen in the January surge. As the number of vaccinated persons has grown, the proportion of fully vaccinated persons hospitalized has increased. More informa- tion can be found at the WCHD COVID Site.
Vaccines (Moderna and Pfizer) for 6months to <5 years of age is expected to be approved in June. Plans are in place to ship vaccines out to healthcare systems and health departments from the CDC as soon as June 20, 2022.
